You found a better way to run things. You explained it at a meeting, everyone agreed, and nobody asked a single question. Two weeks later, the old way is back. The person who knows the job best never argued. They just kept doing it the way they always had. A customer got confused. The first month was worse than before, and somebody said what you were already thinking: maybe we should go back. So you did. Now the team figures your next idea will die the same way.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Three situations this handbook solves

The morning of the announcement

No all-hands speech. Your change team runs small 15-minute huddles at the same time, each with its own area, all from one script. The next day, the questions go up on a board with the answer and the name of the person who answered.

Your most experienced person says it won't work

You don't argue. You invite them onto the change team. In the example, the doubter is the one who spots the problem nobody else saw, and later asks to coach coworkers at their stations.

Week one is worse than before

Someone asks to go back to the old way "just until things calm down." You pull up the dip you planned for, check that the cushion covers it, and hold the line. The handbook's rule: don't judge the change before week 6.

INSIDE

What you'll find in each tool

Five parts that follow one real change. Before you announce: why changes fail, how big this one is, and who it hits. Design it: the case in numbers, the team, and the calendar. Communicate and involve people, with resistance treated as information. Get through the switchover and the early dip. Then make it last, so the old way doesn't creep back. Every tool has a step by step, a worked example, and a short exercise.

The Change Management Handbook · Illustrative example with numbers
Illustrative example with numbers: Farmácia Buriti, a fictional compounding pharmacy with its own lab and 14 employees. Débora, the owner, wants the lab to produce in two fixed windows instead of rushing every order the moment it's sold. Her last big change was dropped within weeks. This one runs through every tool.

Who it's for

It's for you if

  • You're about to change how the work gets done: a system, schedules, a workflow, prices, or customer service
  • You've watched a change die two weeks after you announced it
  • There's a veteran on your team who could either help you or stall everything
  • You want the team to help build the change instead of pushing it through on pressure alone

It's not for you if

  • You were just promoted and you're leading your first change as a manager. Start with The First-Time Manager's Handbook
  • You need the project's schedule, scope, and budget. That's The Project Management Handbook
  • You need to design the new process itself. See The Process Handbook
  • You expect everyone on board by Friday. This handbook gives you a method to lead the change and measure it, week by week

Frequently asked questions

Does every change need all 24 tools?

No. A small adjustment takes four: the check for the classic pitfalls, the picture of the new way, the announcement, and taking the old way off paper. All 24 are for a big change that alters the workday of several roles.

I already announced it and it went badly. Is it too late?

No. Go back to the eight pitfalls and see which ones you hit. Then redo the announcement in small huddles, with the case for change in numbers and what you're changing in the plan because of what went wrong.

What do I do with someone who won't change?

First, find out where that person is stuck: knowing, wanting, learning, being able, or keeping it up. Then conversation, support, and adjustment, in that order. A final decision comes last, and the handbook tells you to check with your employment lawyer before that step.

Will this work for my kind of business?

If you're changing how people work, yes. The example is a pharmacy, but every tool shows how it applies to services, retail, manufacturing and distribution, and independent professionals. You run it on your own change.

How long does a big change take?

In a small business, about 10 to 13 weeks from the first huddle until the old way is gone, with reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days after the switchover. Reading the handbook takes about 2 hours and 24 minutes, or 6 minutes per tool.

Can I run two big changes at once?

The handbook says avoid it: one big change and up to two small ones at a time. The change queue helps you decide what waits, so the team doesn't burn out halfway through both.

What do I get, and in what formats?

Each handbook is a PDF of about 100 pages with 24 to 27 tools. Every tool has step-by-step instructions and a worked example. You also get the handbook's spreadsheet in Excel (.xlsx), which opens in Google Sheets too, with the example already filled in. The message, policy, and clause templates are in the Template Kit inside the PDF, ready to copy and adapt. Read it in the member area or download the files.

How do I know if it fits my business?

Each handbook's page shows the problem it solves, who it is for and who it is not for, the full table of contents, sample pages, and the company used in the examples. The examples come from small businesses in several industries, with illustrative numbers. If it is not a fit, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, as described in the Refund Policy.

What is the difference between a handbook, an area set, and the Series?

A handbook solves one problem. An area set brings together every handbook and spreadsheet in one of the 6 areas, for less than the price of 5 single handbooks. The Consylion Handbook Series brings together all 100 handbooks and 100 spreadsheets, for less than the price of 8 single handbooks, and includes the next handbooks in the Series. Products outside the Series, from Consylion Life or Consylion Business, have their own price. They are sold separately and are not part of an area set or the Series.

Do I need to read everything before I start?

No. Each tool works on its own. Open the table of contents, pick the tool for today's problem, and start there. You can also read it cover to cover.

Do I need to know Excel?

The basics are enough: open the file and fill in the marked fields. The formulas are already built, and the handbook's example is filled in for reference.

How do I pay, and when do I get access?

By card or bank transfer, as a one-time payment with no subscription. Once your payment is confirmed, you get access to the member area by email. Approved card payments are confirmed right away. Bank transfers are confirmed when the funds clear. If access does not arrive within 24 hours of confirmation, check your spam folder and write to team@consylion.org.

How long do I have access, and how can I use the files?

Access does not expire, and you can download the files for offline use. The license is individual. You may read the handbooks, print them for your own use, and fill in and adapt the spreadsheet and templates with your company's data. If you are a consultant, accountant, or manager, you may apply the tools with your clients and deliver the result of your work, not the files. You may not share, resell, or distribute the files or the access.

How do support and refunds work?

Support is by email at team@consylion.org, on business days, with a reply within 5 business days. It covers questions about access, files, and payment. It does not include consulting or advice on applying the material to your case. You can cancel within 14 days of your purchase, without giving a reason, and get the full amount back through the payment method you used. Send the request to the same email. The details are in the Refund Policy.
