The Goals and OKRs Handbook
Targets Your Team Understands and Goes After
You set this year's targets in January. Go ask your team what they are.
24 tools, a spreadsheet, and one example company worked through a full quarter, so your targets reach every area and get checked every Monday.
You get 24 tools to test whether your team knows the target, write objectives and key results, cascade them to each area by negotiating with the team, and track them every week. Plus a spreadsheet with 5 working tabs, already filled in with the example.
A book explains the method. This handbook puts it to work: the tool, a worked example, and a spreadsheet with your numbers.
One-time payment of $29.00. The order form shows the final amount, with any taxes for your country, before you pay.
Digital delivery: PDF handbook, spreadsheet and access on the Consylion platform.
14-day money-back guarantee: if it isn't what you expected, request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

January: you write the targets, present them at the kickoff meeting, and pin the sheet to the wall. March: you ask the front desk what the company is aiming for and get "to grow" or a polite silence. Each area is busy chasing what it thinks matters. Nobody looks at the number again until December, and then only to confirm it was missed.
THE SPREADSHEET

SOUND FAMILIAR?
Three situations this handbook solves
Monday morning, check-in day
Each leader sends one line per key result: the value, a confidence score from 1 to 10, and what they need. You read it in a few minutes and see which number slipped before anyone has to explain it at month-end.
A key result has been stuck for three weeks
Instead of waiting for the end of the quarter, the owner writes a help request: what's been tried, what's needed, from whom. The rule: an answer within 48 hours. The message is already written in the Template kit.
A department says your target can't be done
You don't overrule them and you don't fold. You send the proposal, they come back with their numbers and what it would take, and you agree on a target both sides can defend. Then it goes on the one-page OKR.
INSIDE
What you'll find in each tool
Five parts that follow one quarter. First, a diagnosis: does the team know the target, and is it a target at all? Then you write the OKR. Then you cascade it to each area through a back-and-forth with the team. Then you track it every Monday with a confidence score. Finally, you close the cycle with a score and write the next one.

Who it's for
It's for you if
- You write targets every year and watch the team forget them within weeks
- Your departments pull in different directions and only find out at the end of the month
- You want to use OKRs without hiring a consultant or paying for software
- You run a company with a team and want the target to reach the people who serve the customer
- You'd rather run one honest quarter than hang ten pretty targets on the wall
It's not for you if
- You haven't chosen where the company is going yet. Start with The Strategy and Planning Handbook
- You want the whole management routine, with meetings and an owner's dashboard. That's The Business Management Handbook
- You want to evaluate each person and tie targets to their pay. See The Performance Review Handbook
- You want a system that hits the numbers for you. This one organizes your targets and shows whether they moved
Frequently asked questions
Is my company too small for OKRs?
If you have a team, no. The handbook keeps it small on purpose: up to three objectives for the company, one objective and two or three numbers per area. The example has 34 people in a handful of areas. With fewer areas, you simply have less to cascade.
Do I need OKR software?
No. The included spreadsheet and one message a week are enough. The handbook says software starts to help once you have more than a few dozen key results. Until then, a spreadsheet you actually open beats a tool nobody logs into.
Do OKRs replace my budget and my metrics?
No. The budget and the metrics track the whole company. The OKR picks the few things that need to change this quarter. Tool 22 shows how to move what already works back into the routine, with a standard.
What if my team won't give honest scores?
Then break the link between the score and money, and never come down on anyone for a low one. The handbook has a ready-made note to the team saying exactly that. And you go first: if it's a 4, you say 4.
What if nobody hits anything in the first cycle?
Read the reasons before you give up. The handbook sorts every miss into four causes: the target, the bet, execution, or context. The first cycle teaches you to write targets. The second usually has better-calibrated ones.
How much time will this take?
About 2 hours and 24 minutes of reading, or 6 minutes per tool, plus the exercises. The 30-day plan breaks it into four weeks: the diagnosis, the company OKR, the area OKRs, and the first Monday check-in.
What do I get, and in what formats?
Each handbook is a PDF of about 100 pages with 24 to 27 tools. Every tool has step-by-step instructions and a worked example. You also get the handbook's spreadsheet in Excel (.xlsx), which opens in Google Sheets too, with the example already filled in. The message, policy, and clause templates are in the Template Kit inside the PDF, ready to copy and adapt. Read it in the member area or download the files.
How do I know if it fits my business?
Each handbook's page shows the problem it solves, who it is for and who it is not for, the full table of contents, sample pages, and the company used in the examples. The examples come from small businesses in several industries, with illustrative numbers. If it is not a fit, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, as described in the Refund Policy.
What is the difference between a handbook, an area set, and the Series?
A handbook solves one problem. An area set brings together every handbook and spreadsheet in one of the 6 areas, for less than the price of 5 single handbooks. The Consylion Handbook Series brings together all 100 handbooks and 100 spreadsheets, for less than the price of 8 single handbooks, and includes the next handbooks in the Series. Products outside the Series, from Consylion Life or Consylion Business, have their own price. They are sold separately and are not part of an area set or the Series.
Do I need to read everything before I start?
No. Each tool works on its own. Open the table of contents, pick the tool for today's problem, and start there. You can also read it cover to cover.
Do I need to know Excel?
The basics are enough: open the file and fill in the marked fields. The formulas are already built, and the handbook's example is filled in for reference.
How do I pay, and when do I get access?
By card or bank transfer, as a one-time payment with no subscription. Once your payment is confirmed, you get access to the member area by email. Approved card payments are confirmed right away. Bank transfers are confirmed when the funds clear. If access does not arrive within 24 hours of confirmation, check your spam folder and write to team@consylion.org.
How long do I have access, and how can I use the files?
Access does not expire, and you can download the files for offline use. The license is individual. You may read the handbooks, print them for your own use, and fill in and adapt the spreadsheet and templates with your company's data. If you are a consultant, accountant, or manager, you may apply the tools with your clients and deliver the result of your work, not the files. You may not share, resell, or distribute the files or the access.
How do support and refunds work?
Support is by email at team@consylion.org, on business days, with a reply within 5 business days. It covers questions about access, files, and payment. It does not include consulting or advice on applying the material to your case. You can cancel within 14 days of your purchase, without giving a reason, and get the full amount back through the payment method you used. Send the request to the same email. The details are in the Refund Policy.
